Orders & Returns

How do I place an Order?

Orders can be placed via our Website, via email or Whatsapp messenger, subject to our availability. Get in touch with us if you would like any assistance or professional input – we’d love to assist you in designing your dream cake. 

If you’d like to make a catering or event booking, feel free to contact us directly to discuss your needs.

What is your lead time for orders?

Our lead time depends on our availability! Some days (especially Friday and Saturday) get booked well in advance. We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance.

How can I cancel or change my order?

We understand that custom ordering can be tricky and intimidating! Any changes to orders must be requested at least 7 days prior to the scheduled pickup or delivery date. We will do our best to accommodate changes, but we cannot guarantee availability. Additional charges and administrative fees may apply.

We offer full refunds on your order if the pickup/ delivery date is more than 7 days away – please note a cancellation admin fee may be charged. Unfortunately , cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled pickup or delivery date may not be eligible for a refund. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your order. 

 

Logistics and Payment

What payment methods are accepted?

We are a cashless business and accept payment online payment via our website as well as EFT (Bank Deposit). Due to the custom nature of our products, we require full payment to confirm all orders.

What delivery/pickup methods are available?

We offer Pickup at our store location, as well as Delivery. Customers are also welcome to coorindate an uber package to collect. Please see the important notes below:

Pickup: Orders can be picked up at our store location at a selected time.  Pickup times are considered a booking, we apprecaite notice of any delays. Pickup hours: Mon-Fri 10am – 5pm, Sat 10am – 3pm.

Uber package pickups co-ordindated by the customer: We allow customers to coordinate uber package collections from our store. If doing an uber package collection, please communicate this in writing to us before payment. Please note we are not responsible for any uber costs or damages to cakes during uber package transport. A package car is advised for safe transport.

Delivery: We offer cake delivery via our trusted courier for an additional fee. Deliveries are done between 9am and 5pm. Please ensure a recipient is available at the address between these times to accept delivery, as time slot selections are not possible at this stage. 

Do you ship outside of Cape Town?

At this stage – not yet. But we hope to expand to other parts of South Africa in the near future.

Special Requests

Do you offer wedding cakes?

Yes! Our Retro Designs make gorgeous wedding centrepieces, particularly for intimate celebrations. Please contact us directly for a quoatation.

Do you cater for any special dietry requirements or allergies?

We operate from a halaal, home based kitchen. At this stage, we do not cater for any other dietry requirements (but hope to do so soon!). 

Regarding allergies, please note that our products are prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs and other common allergens. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that any product will be completely free from any potential allergen.

Do I refrigerate my cake? How do I take care of it?

We have a super extensive cake care guide on how to store your cake after pickup. From receiving the cake to enjoying it – please do read this! Our guide is available on our Website and is sent directly to you after placing an order.
