ORDERING & AVAILABILITY
1. How far in advance should I book my cake?
We recommend booking 2 weeks ahead, especially for detailed designs. We take bookings up to 2 months in advance.
2. Can I place an order last-minute?
If we have space, yes! Orders placed within 7 days are considered rush orders and can’t be changed or refunded, but we’ll do our best to assist.
3. How do I place an order with BBCAKES?
All orders go through our online order form or website. Once payment is made, your booking is locked in.
4. Do you offer custom cake or catering orders?
Yes, we do! Custom or catering orders need to be discussed and confirmed at least 2 weeks in advance. Send us your idea so we can check availability.
PRICING & PAYMENTS
5. Where can I find your pricing?
Our pricing is available on our Website, Instagram, WhatsApp Catalogue and online order form. Custom designs may have additional costs depending on complexity.
6. How do I make payment?
We accept EFT, SnapScan, and Yoco.
We’re a cashless bakery and do not accept ATM vouchers.
7. When is my order confirmed?
Your order is confirmed once full payment is received. If payment isn’t made by the deadline, the order automatically cancels.
CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS
8. Can I change my order after paying?
Changes can be made 7 days or more before your pickup/delivery date.
Rush orders (placed within 7 days) cannot be changed.
9. What is your cancellation policy?

Rush orders: non-refundable

Other orders: cancellations made with less than 7 days notice may not qualify for a refund
Admin fees may apply.
10. What if I miss my pickup time?
Your pickup time is a booked slot. If you’re running late, please let us know — we’ll reschedule where possible. Uncollected orders may be donated or discarded.
PICKUP & DELIVERY
11. What are your pickup hours?

Tuesday: 1pm–5pm

12. Can I send an Uber or courier to collect my cake?
Yes! Please let us know before payment.
You’ll need to book an Uber Package car, not a bike.
Once the cake leaves our hands in good condition, we aren’t responsible for courier-related damage.
13. Do you offer delivery?
Yes — delivery is available between 9am and 5pm through a trusted courier.
We’ll notify you when the driver is on the way.
If the recipient is unreachable, a redelivery fee may apply.
DESIGN, ICING & COLOURS
14. Can you recreate a cake exactly like my reference photo?
We use reference pictures as inspiration, but exact replicas aren’t guaranteed. We always create something beautiful in your chosen style.
15. Do you match icing colours exactly?
We’ll try our best! Slight variations can occur, especially with natural lighting and buttercream tones. Dark colours may stain temporarily.
16. Why isn’t your buttercream bright white?
We use real butter, which naturally has a warm tint. Our “white” buttercream is an off-white shade. Studio lighting may also brighten colours in photos.
17. What type of icing do you use?
All cupcakes, retro cakes, and lunchbox cakes are made with our signature American Buttercream — no fillings are offered for these cake types.
CAKE CARE & TRANSPORT
18. How do I store my cake?
Please follow our Cake Care Guide (included with every order). Proper storage keeps your cake fresh and stable.
19. How do I transport my cake safely?
Keep your cake flat, cool, and upright. Avoid holding it on your lap or placing it on slanted car seats. Our Cake Care Guide explains everything in detail.
20. What if my cake gets damaged after pickup?
Once your cake leaves our premises in good condition, we can’t offer refunds for accidental damage.
ALLERGIES & INGREDIENTS
21. Do you offer allergen-free cakes?
Our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten, and other common allergens. For this reason, we can’t guarantee any item is allergen-free.
22. Can you make special-diet cakes?
We try our best to help, but we cannot guarantee complete exclusion of specific ingredients due to shared equipment.
